It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of George Roderick Johnston who peacefully passed away on Friday, May 17th, 2019. He will be forever missed and in the hearts of those he touched.
George (Rick) was born on March 05, 1948, to parents Dinty and Christine Johnston. He grew up in Quesnel with his siblings Ken, Bob, Gwen and Gloria.
Rick is survived by his wife of 52 years, Beth. He is also survived by his children; Laurel and Blaine and his wife Kendelle, and his grandchildren, Morgan, Joel and Stella.
There are no words to express the sadness when such a bright light dims.
But through those he loved his light will burn within.
The funeral will take place at the North Star Community Church at 1 on Saturday, June 1st. There will be a tea to follow at the West Fraser Timber Room at the Quesnel & District Recreation Centre following the funeral.
