It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George Wayne Lawlor after a courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). He was born March 13, 1944 in Powell River and passed away January 29, 2008.
George loved life. He enjoyed the outdoors, his land, his horses and his family. He will be missed by his three children, Darla (Aaron) Hammer, Blake (Chandra) Lawlor, and Kent (Tina) Lawlor, his mother Lillian Bow, his wife Debbie and her three sons, his sisters Sharon (Dave) Fookes and Shirley Lawlor (Howie Vestvick) and his brother Bud Lawlor (Lynn Christensen), grandchildren Colby, Lane, Kade, Travis, Aubree and Samantha and his entire family.
George spent most of his life in the Bouchie Lake community. We would like to thank the Bouchie Lake Rec Commision for the donation of the Bouchie Lake Hall where his Celebration of Life was held on Feb. 2, 2008.
