It is with heavy hearts that the Valoroso family announce the passing of Giovanni Valoroso. Many of you have known John and Carmen since they opened Penisola in the late ‘80s as they grew their business and raised their family. John immigrated from Sicily to Canada in 1971 and is survived by his wife Carmen and daughters Alessandra, Paola, Laura, Nicole and Stefania. John will be remembered for his love of gardening, Italian football, music, the arts, and creating beautiful food. He was dedicated to his business and family and worked hard to help beautify Quesnel. Thank you for your condolences and kind words.
There will be a small service for family and friends at Clayton’s Funeral Chapel on Thursday, February 11th at 1:00 pm followed by a gathering at Penisola
at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Quesnel Auxiliary.
A special thank-you to the nurses at G.R. Baker Memorial for their kindness and care of John.
