On March 18, 2007, Mr. Harold Lloyd Shipley of St. Albert, AB, formerly of Quesnel, BC, passed away at the age of 77 years.
Harold is survived by his loving wife, Shirley; one son and two daughters, Darrell (Myra) and their children, Michael and Melissa (Nick); Kathie (Laurent) Doucette and their children, Jennifer (Davey) and Sara; Julie (Roy) Carlson and their children, Liza (Ray), Scott (Felicia); four great-grandchildren, Noah, Isabella, Tristen and Luca; two brothers and one sister, Sterling, Lawrence and Agnes Buda. Predeceased by infant son, David; parents; four brothers.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. E. P. Schuster, Bev and staff at the Misericordia Hospital.
A private family funeral service was held Wednesday, March 21 at 4:00 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton. Pastor David Chotka officiated. In tears we saw you sinking,
We watched you fade away.
You faced your task with courage,
Your spirit did not bend.
And still you kept on fighting,

When a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around you,

So when we saw you sleeping,
So peaceful, free from pain,
We could not wish you back,
