Harold Theodore (Ted) Kidd

Harold Theodore (Ted) Kidd was born on October 31, 1942 and passed away on March 1, 2007 with his loving family at his side in the Palliative Care unit, Burnaby Hospital.

He will be greatly missed and forever remembered by his loving wife Hendrika (Rika) of 40 years, six children MCpl (ret) William Kidd (Joanie), Catharina Noble (Dave), Marisa Sawyer (Kevin), Theresa Bennett, Cpl. David Kidd (Lisa) and Montavi Kidd, thirteen grandchildren and all the beautiful foster children that touched his heart over the years.

He also leaves behind a wonderful mother-in-law Tina deWit of Quesnel, five sisters and two brothers and their families, and a very large extended family.

Ted and Rika made their home in Quesnel from 1967 to 1980 before moving their family to Vancouver.

Ted was an avid bowler for many years in Quesnel and Burnaby. He enjoyed fishing and always enjoyed coming to Quesnel to camp with family and friends at Roger’s Resort on Ten Mile Lake.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held March 5, 2007 at St. Francis de Sales Parish in Burnaby, B.C.
