Harry Chadwick was born June 1st, 1933 in Vancouver and passed away August 8th, 2008 at G. R. Baker Memorial Hospital with his family by his side, he was 75.

Harry is survived by his wife Carol, his sons Shayne (Rita), Shawn (Stacey), daughter Elaine, Grandchildren Kyle, Kaylee, Chase, Evan, Jenna, Great grandchildren Jordon, Justin, Trysen, Sisters Nellie and Peggy.

Harry was predeceased by his father Archie, mother Edith, sisters Helen, Gertrude and Lola, sons Harry Chadwick Jr. and Kenneth Chadwick.

Harry started his working career by going to the Queen Charlotte Island with his father in a camp doing high lead logging, he worked there for a few years then moved on to Ocean Falls where he bought a West Coast Troller which he named Star Dust, he fished for a living for a number of years, he also worked on a rock quarry then moved to Vancouver and got a job as a waiter on the ferries for a few years. He worked in Vancouver Hospital on Maintenance for a short time then moved to the Cariboo where he got a job at Weldwood, then to West Fraser, then there was an opening at G. R. Baker so he worked there for 25 years. He retired in 1994. Harry enjoyed talking on the C. B. radio where he talked to people all over the country, he also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, traveling, getting wood. Harry loved spending time with his relations and friends at the coast, especially his sister. Harry was very much a people person who loved to joke around, was a very generous and caring person, who will be loving missed by his wife, family and friends.
