Henry Lee

Born December 24, 1917 to a Quesnel Pioneer Family. Deceased July 31, 2007.

Henry was born on the family ranch at Margurite and worked on the ranch with his father until he was in his thirties.

Henry got into the logging and sawmill business and was successful at both. Later Henry went into ranching and there his specialty was breeding, raising and training horses. His horses, cattle and horsemanship won many prizes and trophies. Henry was a horseman and horse trainer known throughout the Cariboo/Chilcotin for his expertise.

He retired with his wife Rose-Marie to acreage in Kersley where he enjoyed his garden, his horse Mountie: their many friends; family; grandchildren; and more recently his great grandchildren.

Henry’s love for his family and woodworking was evident in the handcrafted picture boxes and toolboxes he made for them complete with personalized nameplates inside.

In July 2006, Henry and Marie sold the acreage, auctioned off a lifetimes accumulation of milling and ranching equipment and accessories. They moved to the Prince George Chateau where Henry quickly became popular with all. Henry will be greatly missed, and lovingly remembered by his family and friends.

Survived by wife Rose-Marie, children Maurice (Susanna); Steven; Valerie (Bob); Barbara (Eric); Heather (Don); Don (Ruth) grandchildren Tony, Sammy, Marissa, Eli, Eric, Tyler, Kyle, Morgan, Tara, Ryan (Nicole), Andrew, Mike, Heather great grandchildren Leanna and Elaina

Predeceased by son Alex.
