Hilda passed away peacefully at Maple House on Feb. 8, 2010 after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimers.
Hilda was born Jan. 3, 1923 in Gerschfelt Germany to Peter and Elizabetha Less. She trained and worked as a nurse in various parts of the world for 28 years, immigrating to Canada in 1956.
Hilda was predeceased by her parents, her sister Elfreida, brother Heini - all of Germany, also her first husband Dennis and son Peter in a tragic accident in 1982 in Quesnel.
Hilda is survived by her husband of 25 years Roy Miller, 6 step children and their families, her brother Willie, one niece and one nephew in Germany.
Hilda loved the outdoors, fishing, camping and travelling the back roads, she was happiest when out gold panning or tending to her flower gardens.
Hilda was friendly and outspoken and will be missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Hilda’s life will take place at a later date. Time and location will be broadcast. Anyone wishing to attend is welcome.
