Irene (Rene) Horner

Irene (Rene) Horner (nee Macalister) passed away on August 7, 2007 at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops. A memorial tea was held at Desert Gardens in Kamloops. Cremation preceded the memorial tea with family and friends.

Irene was born at Macalister on December 15, 1924. She was the baby in a family of ten, seven brothers and two sisters. She went to public school at Macalister and Menzinger Creek near Kersley. She joined the Air Force and married Ted Horner in 1951.

Irene and Ted lived in Quesnel and 100 Mile House.

Irene had a career as a secretary and she volunteered at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops.

She is survived by one brother and two sisters, one son Keith and family, three daughters Nancy, Susan and Theda.

She was predeceased by her husband Ted.
