You’re not forgotten, Mother, dear,

Nor ever shall you be

As long as life and memory last,

We will remember thee.

No one knows the silent heartaches,

Only those who have lost can tell

‘Of the grief that’ borne in silence

For the one we love

so well.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother.

Predeceased by her husband John, son Richard and brother Alphonse, she leaves behind and is lovingly remembered by 4 children - Miriam, Elaine (D’Arcy), Toni (John), Martin (Dawn) and daughter-in-law JoAnn; 8 grandchildren - Wanda, Bob, Derek, Paul, Mark, Logan, Dylan and Jordan; 6 great grandchildren - Megan, Bradley, Ryan, Medea, Zoe and Sophia. She will be fondly remembered by countless nieces and nephews and sisters-in-law Blanche and Florence.

Our mother had many friends and was especially blessed with the friendship and help of Pat McBride. Shirley Clarke, together with her daughter Susie Bridgman and family, welcomed her as part of their extended family. Her smiling face will also be missed by her friends at the OAP in Keremeos.

Mom enjoyed travelling, playing cards and bowling. She was a great cook. She was quick to laugh in life and brave and uncomplaining throughout her struggles. Above all else, she loved to be with her family.

Our family would like to thank the staff at Kyalami Place (Assisted Living) and especially the loving caregivers at Orchard Haven (Extended Care) who helped to make our mothers stay a happy one. We are most grateful to the staff at Orchard Haven for their compassion and helpfulness during moms final days. We are also deeply appreciative of the quality of care given by Dr. Jeanes and Dr. Lowe.

It was our mothers wishes to forego any services.
