The Broken Chain

We little knew that morning that

God was going to call your name.

In life we loved you dearly.

In death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you.

You did not go alone,

for part of us was with you

the day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories.

Your love is still our guide.

And though we cannot see you,

you are always by our side.

Our family chain is broken

and nothing seems the same,

but as God calls us one by one,

the Chain will link again.

It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of James on March 11, 2007 after a long happy life.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife Irene and daughter Gloria. Dad will be lovingly missed by his adoring daughters, Judy, Darlene (Jim), Debbie (Rick), and Launa (Dennis), 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and many close family and dear friends.

James was born in Crooked River, Sask. in 1921 and moved his family to Quesnel in 1954 to work 35 years at Weldwood on the river drive. He retired in 1986 to enjoy horses, working outdoors or walking with his animals. But most of all spent time with family and friends. He was loved by many for his kind and generous ways. His smile and sense of humour kept us all laughing.

A special thank you to Dr. Sear for his years of great care and the nurses at Maple House for their kindness and special care during his final days.
