It is with great sadness that the family of Jean Lapierre announce her passing on December 7, 2023.
Jean was born in Vegreville, Alta. on February 25, 1941 to Bella and John Thompson. She had 3 older brothers Jim, Steve and Robert (mostly know as Panner).
In 1943, the family moved to Parksville where she grew up on a farm until she graduated and moved to Surrey, BC.
In 1974, she moved to Quesnel where she worked in the mining dept of the Provincial Building for 22 years until she retired.
She was an amazing cook and she often cooked for large groups of friends and family and she somehow made it look so effortless. She enjoyed many camping trips with her large group of friends over the years. She was the best mom and grandma anyone could wish for.
She is survived by her spouse Orvald Anderson; daughter Doreen Glennen (Wayne); Orvald's 3 children Allan (Terri) Anderson, Shelley Anderson (Antonio), and Dan (Leanne) Anderson; 9 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
