The patriarch of our family passed away in hospice at the age of 94. He was the youngest of 12 children and he outlived them all except for his father who passed away at the age of 98.

He was also predeceased by his daughter Dolores in 2012.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years Julia; children Marvin (Fab), Floyd (Ursula), Maureen (Rick), Brenda, Barry (Charla) and Sandra. Also survived by 18 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and one sister-in-law Gladys.

Dad was born near Humboldt Saskatchewan but spent his youth in Longworth BC. There he met and married his wife Julia Prather. They moved to Genevieve Lake BC in 1956, and into Quesnel in 1962.

They both loved Quesnel. Dad was a farmer, trapper, logger and for 15 years a saw filer for West Fraser Mills. He loved hunting, camping, fishing, gardening and watching the Canucks with his beloved dog Misty by is side.

The family would like to thank Dr. Nick Jawanda, G.R. Baker staff and the wonderful nursing angels of hospice that provided loving care throughout his journey to the end. May he rest in peace.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
