John Dave Nechvolodoff passed away peacefully at GR Baker Memorial Hospital at the age of 76 surrounded by his family on June 10, 2016. John had Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, a rare neurological disease. John is survived by his spouse Nellie Henry of 28 years, daughters Linda (Sante), Sandra (Geraldo), Brenda, Debbie (Roger), Wanda (Doug); older sister Ellen Gibbs, younger brother Bill (Dorothy) Nechvolodoff; 11 loving grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and extended family. John was pre-deceased by his father and mother, John and Mary. John was a loving father, husband, grandfather, Uncle and friend to all.

John was a long-time resident of Quesnel. He moved here with his family in 1972.

John was a machinist and retired at the age of 65 from Linden Welding where he worked over 30 years. John enjoyed camping and fishing and if you knew him you would know music was his first passion. He played in many bands over the years and, until just a few years ago, you would see John playing at different functions and at every music festival in the area.

John had a very kind heart and quick wit and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A special thank you to the Staff at GR Baker Memorial Hospital, Clayton’s Funeral Home, Northstar Church, The Quesnel Legion and Pastors Dennis and Rebekah Harding. Thank-you also to friends and family who helped out Nellie and the girls during John’s last week.

A Funeral Service was held on June 13, 2016 here in Quesnel and another service will be held in the Vancouver area on July 9th. Please contact Debbie for more info at 250-747-1083.
