John Mushaluk

July 10, 1938 - February 24, 2022
John Iver Mushaluk born July 10, 1938 passed suddenly into the arms of his Loving Saviour on February 24, 2022. John was the oldest of four children and was born in the small community of Vita, Manitoba.
John loved life! He was known for his passion for fishing and gardening but most of all his passion for children. In his later years he became very well known by the children of the church he attended as he faithfully greeted them with high fives, a smile and a hug.
He knew almost every one of them by name and was devastated when Covid 19 hit and he was unable due to health issues continue this ministry.
John was predeceased by his wife Sarah February 14, 2019 and his son Byron September 16, 2014.
Left to mourn are his daughter Cynthia, his siblings: Janice Reimer (who passed away just hours after John on February 24, 2022), brother Roger (Laurel) Mushaluk and children Jeff (Lyndsay), Ashley (Jon) Shore, Jaclyn (Matt) Inkster, sister Donna (Jake)Tosoff and children Jeremy (Claire) Tosoff, Clinton (Val)Tosoff, Matt (Tami)Tosoff, and Jane Tosoff. He has also left many to mourn from Sarah's side of the family.
There will be a celebration of life for John at the Okotoks Evangelical Free Church on April 23, 2022 at 1:30 in the afternoon.
In lieu of flowers and if you feel led, you can send a donation to Samaritan's Purse(1-800-663-6500) where an in memory account has been created for John Mushaluk with the proceeds going to the "Feed the Children" project. Or if you prefer to wait until later, envelopes from Samaritan's Purse will be available at the Celebration of Life service.
