September 7, 1931 - June 13, 2021
It is with heavy hearts that the family of John (Bill) William Buchanan are announcing his passing on June 13, 2021 at Dunrovin Park Lodge.
Bill as everyone knew him, was born in Springhill Nova Scotia on September 7, 1931, where he lived with his parents until the age of 18 at which time, he joined the army serving with the engineers mainly in Germany for 25 years along with his best buddy Len Brooks.
After retiring from the army, Bill relocated to Chilliwack, BC. Shortly after, Bill moved to Quesnel with his partner Annie where he first worked at the Co Op and then Eagle Building Supplies until he retired. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, curling, playing his guitar and having a good time with whoever he was with.
Bill is survived by his wife Annie Louise, children Brenda (Mitch), Les (Sandy), Louise, Terry (Monica), Janice (Dan), Betty Anne, Rodney (Catherine) and Colin (Barb), 13 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great Grandchild, Sisters Bev (Wally), Shirley (Dwane), Verda and brother Ron. Bill was predeceased by his parents, daughter Cherlyn and Grandsons Nigel and Kevin.
There was no funeral as per Bill's request. There will be a celebration of life at a date yet to be determined.
