On December 8th Jo went to be with Harry, Bob, and all who love her in Heaven. She lived a full and adventurous ninety years that included serving her country during World War 11, coming to Canada as a war bride, raising a wonderful family, pioneering in business (she was the first woman to sell real estate in the Cariboo), travelling the world and of course playing bingo. Jo was pre-deceased by her wartime love and first husband Harry Buvyer, and her second husband Robert Handy. She will be remembered always by her loving children Harold (Hilda), Bob (Lenore), Joanne Zipser (Henry) and Julie; her grandchildren Sandra (Scott), Steven (Dina), Craig (Sophia), Carly, Cara (Adrian) and Trevor (Angela); her great-grandchildren Ashley, Samantha, Shae Jolie, Dane, Greg, Jaden, James, Esmee, Ryan and the babies to come; and many other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank the dedicated staff in Duncan, Ladysmith and Chemainus for their loving care. A private family service will be held. Messages can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com
In memory of Jo, we ask you to raise a glass and make the most of your life as she did. We love you Mom – Mizpah.
