With great sadness we announce the passing Joy Hess on February 13, 2007.
Born Joy Aleita Wilson on February 18, 1926 in Cushing Oklahoma, Joy grew up in Oklahoma and Southern California.
She immigrated to Quesnel in 1964 with her husband Lee Hess. After he drowned in the Quesnel river in 1968, she continued to raise her children here.
She moved back to California in 2001.
Joy is survived by her son Michael (Marilyn) and daughters Patricia, Paula (Mitch), Susan and Sara, 17 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
She loved her pets and wild birds, so those wishing to honor her may do so by donating to the SPCA.
