Although she will be so sadly missed, Judy Black (nee Fretter) went to be with her loving Savior on January 20, 2025, at the age of 79 years.
Judy was born to Elroy & Jessie Fretter in Sudbury, Ontario on July 9, 1945, and was famous for her kind heart that touched so many, along with her trademark smile.
She is survived by her husband, George Black to whom she was married for 60 years, as well as her children Kerri Wood and Chris Black along with 5 grandchildren.
Judy & George lived in Quesnel, B.C. for 49 years, loving every minute of the life that God gave them there together.
Judy's love and caring was keenly felt by everyone she met and she had a real gift for loving the down trodden as she was often seen helping out, hugging and caring for the homeless in Quesnel.
As a homemaker, Judy excelled at cooking and baking and was renowned for her culinary creations that came from her wood cookstove, all prepared with love.
Judy was a stellar example of loving kindness, and in return,
was loved deeply loved back and will be missed by so many.
A memorial service for Judy will be held on March 29 at 2pm at the Maple Park Alliance Church in Quesnel B.C.
