Apr 12, 1927 - Dec 13, 2017
It is with sadness that the family of Julia Mueller announces her passing at Dunrovin Park Lodge on December 13th, 2017.

Julia passed away peacefully surrounded by family and we are comforted knowing that she is reunited with John, her husband of 70 years, only 19 days after he completed his journey on this Earth.

Julia is survived by her children Marvin (Fab), Floyd (Ursula), Maureen (Rick), Brenda, Barry (Charla), and Sandra. She is also survived by one sister, Gladys.

She is predeceased by John (Nov. 24, 2017), her daughter Dolores in 2012, her parents, and six siblings. Julia also leaves behind 18 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Julia was one of eight children born to her parents Mabel and Orva Prather. Julia was raised in Longworth, B.C. and often shared many fond memories of life there. Julia met and married John in Longworth, and they continued to raise their growing family there until 1956, when they moved to Genevieve Lake.

In 1962 John and Julia moved their family to their home in Quesnel. While John was often away working, Julia was kept busy tending to their family, while also often working part-time. Julia took pride in caring for her husband and children and always welcomed friends and family into their home.

Julia was always very active and social. In their empty nest years, Julia and John enjoyed camping and fishing, often making new friendships along the way. Julia enjoyed knitting, league bowling, brisk walks with friends, and attended an aerobics group well into her 80's. In more recent years, Julia was happy simply chatting with her friends over a cup of tea.

Julia was happiest with her family around her. She took pleasure in baking everyone their own favourite treats and keeping a well-stocked candy drawer ready for her grandchildren's visits.

Julia was independent and feisty to the end. Her lively spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

The family would like to thank the staff at Dunrovin Park Lodge for their care during Julia's seven months there.

They would also like to thank Julia's family doctor, Dr. Grace Martins.

Mom, you are loved... never forgotten...forever missed!

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
