It is with great sadness that the family of Katherine "Kay" Nora Favre announce her peaceful passing on April 25, 2020 at the age of 92. She was predeceased by her husband George Favre.
Kay was born January 17, 1928 in Prince Rupert, B.C. She moved to Quesnel as a young adult where she met her husband George. Kay and George were married April 2, 1955 in Quesnel and the two settled in Red Bluff where they started their family of three boys. Kay and her family later moved to a farm in Moose Heights where she continued to raise her family.
After selling the farm, Kay and George spent many years traveling and living in different communities across BC including, Lytton and Wallachin. Kay and George also spent time traveling across Canada, back home to Prince Rupert, to New York, Arizona and around Europe. Kay and George returned to Quesnel in 2004 where she spent the remainder of her life close to family. Kay enjoyed gardening, visiting her friends, dancing and being around her family.
Kay will be lovingly remembered by; her children: Mic, Don (Sharon), Roy (Yvonne); her grandchildren: Andrea (Jay), Rick (Melinda), Tammy (Ryan), Jeremy (Laura), Holly (Thomas); and her great grandchildren: Matisha, Scott, Tiffany, Alexis, Rylann, Cash, Nolan , Addison, Jessi and Caylee.
The family would like to thank the staff at Dunrovin Lodge for taking such wonderful care of Kay. We appreciate your sincere and compassionate care.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
