Krista was born in Quesnel on October 25, 1975 where she attended elementary and high school. Krista enjoyed dancing, modelling, horses and socializing with friends. She married Jamie Schwemler on September 17, 1998. Her son Michael was born in 1996. They eventually moved to Kelowna where Krista attended college, worked and raised Michael. Krista was free spirited and full of life. She was tragically taken from us at the young age of 29 while living in Kelowna. She will be sadly missed by parents Murray and Ila Arno, and Wanda and Jeff Boyd; son Michael Schwemler; siblings Kandis Arno, Todd Boyd and Jerritt Boyd; grandparents Vern Arno, Frank and Donna Bishop, and Joan and Leo Kossey; best friend Jamie Schwemler; aunts and uncles Rosemary and Kevin King, Rendal and Marti Bishop, and Shelly Elliott.
Krista was predeceased by Grandma Mary Arno and Uncle Raymond Arno.
She is also remembered by many extended family members and close friends.
Thank-you to our many friends and co-workers for the overwhelming support we were given in the death of our daughter Krista. The meals, flowers, donations and all of your support was unbelievable. Thank-you to Clayton’s Funeral Directors, The Lakeview Church and staff (especially Stu), Verna Cummins for the tea, Rick and Cindy Sterling for Rick’s fabulous woodworking skills and Cindy for your time and caring, and Nancy at Safeway. I don’t think I’ve seen such beautiful arrangements. Lastly, we need to thank Trudy Monk. We could not have done this without you Trudy. You made the service so beautiful and complete.
