Ruby White passed away peacefully on Friday, October 25, 2013 at the South Okanagan General Hospital, Oliver B.C. after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Loving wife of 66 years to Leonard White; dear mother to David (Helen), Bill (Margot) and Gary (Lynn); loving grandmother to David (Sylvia), Justin, Shannon, Sonja, Randy, Rick, Bill, Andrew and Danny; great-grandchildren, Isabella and Cassandra. Survived by sisters, Mary and Doris. Predeceased by daughter, Susan and brother, David. Ruby was an artist and was well known for her work. She was a naturalist and enjoyed hiking and bowling. A Memorial Service celebrating Ruby’s life will be held in the Chapel of Graham Funeral Home on Monday, November 4, 2013 at 11:00 o’clock. A reception will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion, Br. 97 Oliver. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the BC Cancer Society, 399 Royal Avenue, Kelowna, B.C. V1Y 5L3 would be appreciated by the family.
