Laura Jean Keough

Laura Jean Keough passed away peacefully, after a brave 22 month battle with cancer, on Thursday, May 24, 2007, at Salmon Arm.

Laura will be lovingly remembered by husband Michael of Salmon Arm, daughter Erin Keough (Rob) of Kelowna; sons Matthew Keough (Melissa) and granddaughter Kaidyn of Vernon; Donovan of Salmon Arm; Laura’s mother Dorothy Campbell of Quesnel; brothers and sister Ron Campbell (Dorothy) of Quesnel, Donna Lee Campbell of Comox, twin brothers Edward (Vicky) and Gordon (Carol) Campbell, all of Quesnel and Calvin (Donna) Campbell of Burnaby; nieces, nephews and many, many friends. Laura was predeceased by father Melvin Campbell in 1999.

Michael and Laura were married at Quesnel, BC, on July 19, 1980 and came to Salmon Arm in 1985 where they had resided since. Her first love and consideration were her family, her bowlers (of all ages) at the bowling alley where she worked for over 15 years. She was noted for her great sense of humour and her extensive elephant collection. A highlight of her life was to know her granddaughter Kaidyn and she worshipped her.

A Celebration of Life was held Wednesday, May 30, 2007, at the Gathering Place, Broadway Evangelical Church Hall, 350 – 30th Street NE, Salmon Arm.
