Leah Allen

Leah Thresea Marie Allan passed away at G.R. Baker Memorial Hospital at the age of 59 years after a short battle with cancer on February 3, 2005.

Leah was born on October 11, 1945 in Pinefalls, Manitoba. She moved to Kenora, Ontario in 1946 when she was just 1 year old, where she grew up into a lovely young woman who then caught the eye of Fred Allan in 1960. They married in October 1965 and moved to Quesnel to start a family.

Leah and Fred have two sons Stan and Dean and a daughter Angel, all of Quesnel.

Leah is survived by her husband Fred, sons Stan, Dean (April) and Angel (Stacy), seven grandchildren Michawn and Colby, Champagne, Shy-Leigh and Shaun, Levie and Rylee, sister Irene, brothers Victor (Claudette), Paul (Vicky), Rene (Anita), all of Kenora, Maurice (Marilyn) of Calgary, Alta., mother and father-in-law Mae and Mel Allan of Quesnel and nieces and nephews.

Leah was predeceased by her mother Alice (2003) and father Hermus Chevrefils (1977).

Leah was cremated at Clayton’s Funeral Home. A tea was held at Quesnel Golden Center where a friend of the family Bruce Kerr read her eulogy, poems and thoughts written by family and friends.

Leah’s favorite songs and a collage from birth to present were a special feature of the service.

Leah lived in Quesnel for the past 40 years and will be sadly missed by all.
