On August 13, 2006 at the age of 86, Lee passed away peacefully at G.R. Baker Memorial Hospital.
Lee is survived by his wife of 57 years Margaret (Felker), daughter Lonnie (Dan) Canuel, son Tim (Sheila). Lee was predeceased by his eldest son Kenny in 1969.
Lee is also survived by his grandchildren Kenny, Nicole, Bethia, Alex, Sam, Shawn (Kathy), Marnie (Brian) great grandchildren Lee Chance, Layne, Jacob, Christopher, Danielle, Chelsea, Austin and great great grandson Mathew.
Lee also leaves sisters Bernice Petty of Kamloops, Jean McMillan of Peterbourough, Ruth Coleman of Quesnel and brother Jim (Loretta) of Dawson Creek. He was predeceased by brothers Donald, Roy (Ruth) and Cyril (Marian).
Lee fought many courageous health battles over the past years and always beat the odds - his last days were no exception!
Lee was interred with his son Kenny on Wednesday August 18/06 and a memorial tea was held on Thursday August 29/06. We would like to thank everyone who came; it was so nice to see so many old and new friends, family and co-workers from so long ago.

hospital staff, Palliative Care Staff, Home Care Nursing - especially Colleen. To Annika, Darlene and Sharon for preparations, flowers, food and attending to the tea. Father Dale Normandeau for the interment blessing and support, Kathy and Bethia for their hard work on the commemorative bookmarker, Maureen, Don and Pauline for the care of our “Best Friends” Tipper and Gingii, Therese, Ken and Shirley at the Side Door Diner and everyone who sent cards, food, flowers, prayers and many kind words.
