Leona Margaret Campbell, of Quesnel, B.C. passed away peacefully on October 5, 2010 at Vancouver General Hospital after a short but valiant battle with cancer.

She was born in Quesnel, March 19, 1953 where she lived most of her life amongst many family and friends.

Always a lover of music, Leona enjoyed many get-togethers filled with laughter and song, lending her own voice in harmony with those around her. She applied her multitude of talents to many successful endeavours. Her proudest and happiest moments were the planning and promoting of musical events, weddings, family Christmas parties and her infamous ladies weekends, all with family and friends. Above all Leona was a positive and generous person, full of life and love, always there with a hug and a smile. She believed that life was a gift and that each day should be lived to its fullest. She was a shining light for many and our memories of her will continue to glow in our hearts forever.

She is survived by her loving partner, Francis Bowden, daughter Julie (Tony), sons; James (Jennifer) and Jack (Christa), grandchildren Kody, Kaitlan, Nicole and Shaelynn; brothers and sisters, Jack (Vicki), Ron (Sharon), Laura (Jim), Ray (Joan), Louise (Layton), Mike, Bill (June), Betty (Rudy) and Fay (Tex); all her nieces and nephews as well as many, many friends too numerous to mention, but all with a place in her heart.
