It is with sadness we announce the passing of Margrete Schofield on September 6th, 2010 at Dunrovin Lodge in Quesnel, BC.
A Celebration of Life tea was held at the Golden Centre on September 11, 2010. Music was played by Vogn Moore.
Margrete was born on June 3rd, 1913 in Morinville, Alberta to Frank and Elsia-Jane Sanborn. She had three brothers Jess, Bob, Russel and one sister, Betty.
Margrete married Leslie Schofield in Sexsmith, Alberta in 1936, they had three sons, Ray, Jim and Bob.
The couple moved to Quesnel in 1945.
Margrete spent her days making sure everyone was taken care of ,
whether they were family or friends. Cooking was her specialty, making everything you liked. She never forgot a birthday, anniversary or any special occasion.
Margrete is survived by sons, Jim (Heather) Schofield, Bob (Myrna) Schofield, daughter in law Joan Schofield. Sister Betty Gordon, grandchildren, Richard, Barb, Krista, David, Colleen and Debbie. Many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Margrete is predeceased by husband Les Schofield, son Ray Schofield, brothers Bob, Jess, Russel Sanborn. The family would like to thank all the staff at Dunrovin for the good care they gave Louise.
Rest in peace Mom, Grandma, we love you and will miss you dearly.
