Marie Deering (nee Bauer) was born on December 20, 1913 in Riga, Latvia during her family’s journey from Russia to Canada. She passed away at 92 years old on October 30, 2005 at Peace Arch Hospital, Surrey (White Rock), B.C.
She was predeceased by her husband Emil in 1983 and her daughter Carron in 1997.
Marie is lovingly remembered by her sons Dennis (Margaret) and David (Ritsuko) and their families, Carron’s family, her sister, Bertha (Ed) and all the relatives and friends she touched over the years. She was a very positive and sincere person who took delight in serving the Lord in all of her activities.
Marie’s family was nearby and present during her attempted recovery from a hip-replacement operation.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm, Sunday, November 20, 2005 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, 2350-148th Street, Surrey. Pastor Kathy Martin officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
