In loving memory ~

Marilyn Audrey Rollo, aged 83, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2024 at Quesnel hospital with her husband at her side. Marilyn is survived by her husband of 66 years, Gordon; her two children, David, Carolyn; daughter-in-law, Bonnie; grandsons Tyson and Mitchell; siblings, Dave Clayton, Jan Clayton and great grandsons, Sawyer and Halen.

Born in Duncan, raised in Nanoose bay, married in Qualicum and bought their first home in Nanaimo, Marilyn initially missed Vancouver Island when the family moved to Quesnel in 1974. Even the sight of a seagull could bring a tear to her eye, but within a short time, Marilyn and Gordon met many locals who would become lifelong friends and there were no more tears.

When Marilyn retired after 28 years with the Royal Bank, she dedicated her life to quilting and met many dear friends in the Quilters Guild. In her last days she was working on 2 quilts for her grand-babies. Mom got to meet her newest grandbaby 1 week before she passed and the last picture of her is with her holding Halen.

Marilyn Was well known for her charity work with Heart and Stroke, March of Dimes, Census, The Borealis Center and was Mrs. Santa Claus for many years.

In Lieu of flowers please donate to your favourite charity in her name.
