Mark enjoyed a busy childhood in Quesnel. He loved ice hockey at Dickies’, ping pong during classes, flag football with the Rednecks, tennis with Dad and most of all, basketball with the team.

He was a fanatical sports fan and his knowledge of player/team statistics was extraordinary.

His quick wit and good sense of humor made him many life-long friends. Mark moved to Vancouver shortly after graduation. He worked at the West Vancouver Memorial Library for 25 years. It was a good combination of his love of books, newspapers and people. His co-workers were his extended family and he cared for them deeply. Mark’s life wasn’t easy but he focused on the positive, lived simply, enjoying an active routine in the city he loved. He was a dear uncle to Sam and Benjamin, a loving brother to Sean (Betty) and Jane (Ben), a cherished son to Joyce.

Mark has been reunited with his dad, Leo, his best friend. Missed but never forgotten. Special thanks to the entire staff on “D” Ward at Cottonwoods and to Chris and Carol for years of special attention to Mark.
