May 8, 1936 - March 4, 2019
Mary passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord the evening of March 4, 2019, at Dunrovin with family at her side.

Born in Regina, Saskatchewan on May 8, 1936, Mary started as a city girl and at a young age her family moved to the country, 20 minutes outside of Regina. Milking cows, feeding livestock, harvesting, picking and canning berries along with helping mother in the everyday household chores and Dad with his crippling arthritis, Mary was a big help. Cooking and baking was an everyday event on the farm at a young age and all through her life.

Mary met the love of her life, Pat and married on June 12, 1954 at the age of 18. Over the next few years they worked hard together and decided a change was needed. With 4 kids and one on the way, in 1959, the family moved to Prince George to a small farm..... In 1972 they moved to Quesnel where they finished raising their family of 8 children and continued farming.

Family was everything to Mom, and she was so proud of all her children.... Sunday dinners, holidays and family get togethers at the farm were always exciting and greatly anticipated as Mom was the world's best cook. Mom never forgot a birthday. Always eager to do anything, smiling, kind and gracious, Mom's heart was open to all.

Mary is survived by her eight children Dan (judy), Maureen (Jay) Mighton, Kevin (Diane), Tim (Lori), Gerry, Colin, Colleen (Leonard Cave), Kelly (Cindy). 21 grandchildren and so far 22 great grandchildren. Mary is predeceased by husband Pat, two daughter-in-laws, Debbie and Beryl, grandson Bryson and parents John and Verna.

Mary was laid to rest March 8, 2019 at the Quesnel Cemetary.

The family would like to thank Maple House for the amazing care and love they gave to Mom the last 4 years.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Arthritis Association or just have a happy conversation with someone.
