May (Evlyn) Goffic

November 6, 2006

May was born in Camrose, Alberta on May 9,1946. In 1951 they made Quesnel their home and started their family. May worked at the five to a dime store on Reid Street and then later joined Spencer Dickey (Donnex) in the mid 60’s. She stayed with Spencer Dickey until she retired in 1989.

In retirement and life, she was always in the kitchen baking buns, enjoying knitting, sewing, crocheting and gardening. She loved the natural beauty of the great outdoors, her owl collection and always kept her heart and home welcoming.

May is loving remember by her husband Steve, sons Rick/Nancy, Shane/Rochelle, Jay/Kathy, 9 grandchildren and 10 great children, numerous nieces and nephews. May loved her family and friends and all us loved her in return. She will be sadly missed.

May the road rise up to meet you,

May the wind be always at you back,

May the sun shine warm upon your face,

The rain falls soft upon your fields.

And until we meet again

May god that loves as all hold you in the palms of his hand.

(Irish Blessing, Joyce Eilers Bacak)

Donation in May’s memory can be made to the Quesnel & District Palliative Care Association or Alzheimer’s Canada.

Her family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to all for the love and kindness shown.
