It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mervyn William Abrams. He was taken suddenly from us and will be forever remembered in our hearts. We would like to thank Les Peterson (for being his life long friend and fishing partner) and for all you have done for the family. Also special thanks go out to Autry and Colleen Combs for their wonderful tribute to Dad and for the reading of the Eulogy. As well as his friends that spoke such kind words in his respect and to all of the friends that sent letters to be read in his honor. A special thank you to Jodie & Keith Mackenzie and Darby Oakley for your help and love.

Mervy was predeceased by his father Garnet and his mother Winifred.

His is survived by his children Carol (Sean), Laura (Warren), Ken (Kym), Jacqueline, Jordan and Darby, grandchildren Dennis, Bailey, Tyson, Christian, Cameron and Carter and Kieran his first great grandchild. He is also fondly remembered by many numerous relatives.

Mervyn had a love of life and took great pride in helping others. His love of music and his ability to play was phenomenal. He will be forever missed by all that knew him.

If we have missed anyone, please be assured your thoughts and prayers were truly appreciated.

A memorial tea was held in Mervyn’s honor on August 13th, 2009 at the Quesnel Legion Hall.

We can hear him now up in heaven playing his guitar, doing what he loved to do.

Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of the ER at GR Baker Hospital and to the staff of Clayton’s Funeral Home.
