Mildred Flora Woskett

October 15, 2007

On Oct. 3, 2007 our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother: Mildred Flora Woskett, passed away and left us all to miss her forever. Mom was born November 16, 1919. She had a wonderful life, meeting her husband, Max during World War II in Halifax. They then traveled by train to Camrose, Alberta where they made their home which they built themselves. In 1949 their son, Max Jr. was born followed by sister Debbie in 1956. In 1963 they pulled up stakes and moved to B.C. settling first in Guildford then Sunnyside and white Rock, running their own businesses during this time. Both Max and Millie were loved and respected by all their customers and neighbours. After their daughter Debbie married and moved to Quesnel, they decided to again pull up stakes and join her in the Cariboo! Son Max and wife Marg lived in Burns Lake so everyone could be closer. During this time Max Sr. sold real estate for Century 21 before he finally retired in the late 80’s. Mom was a perfectionist and did wonderful baking--always being asked to make the “jelly rolls” because hers were always perfect. As her grandchildren were born she had a special place in her heart for all 6 of them and she was a loving and caring Grandmother to Travis, Dawn, James, Wade, George and Brittany. In 1998 her first great Granddaughter Jessica was born followed by Shelby in 2001. Mom’s husband Max predeceased her in 1994. She carried on living in the family home by herself. In her last years she was troubled with health problems but always tried to remain optimistic. Mom left us peacefully. Mom will be remembered with love, respect and humour. Survived by son, Max (Marg) Burns Lake, Daughter Debbie (Dan)Quesnel. Her 6 grandchildren, 2 great Grandchildren and loving nephew, Garry Woskett, Edmonton.
