Oswald Anker (Ozzie) Johannesen passed away peacefully at Baker Lodge. He has left us to join our Mom and his Wife of 59 years.
Dad was born at Rjukan, Norway and immigrated to Canada in 1927, settling in Archerwill, Saskatchewan. Dad married our Mother Marie Roufosse in New Westminster, B.C. August 10, 1943 while Dad was in the army. They moved to Quesnel in 1954 and raised their 6 children. Dad was employed at Weldwood of Canada until retiring in 1981.
Dad touched each of our lives in a different and special way and was always there to listen without judgement. He held strong values of trust, honesty, integrity and friendship. We will miss you Dad.
Dad is survived by his 6 children, Les (Shirley), Rick, Shirley Thomas (David), Garry, Cindy and Michael, his brother Thorstein (Tom) and sister Margaret Hughes, 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Dad was predeceased by his Mother Hanna and Father Einar, granddaughter Jill and his wife Marie.
