It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Paul Kalinski surrounded by his family on November 26, 2019, at his home in Quesnel, after succumbing to a lengthy battle with prostate cancer.
Paul is survived by: his wife of 56 years, Maxine Kalinski; Mother-in-law, Helen Williams, Quesnel, BC; son Gregory Kalinski, Dawson Creek, BC; daughter Teresa and Brad Howes, Calgary, AB.
Paul is also survived by Grandson Tanner Kalinski, Dawson Creek, BC; granddaughter Ashleigh and Kenn Gregory, Edmonton, AB, Great-granddaughter Emily Gregory, Edmonton, AB.
Also survived by brothers, Stefan, John, Nick and Edward Kalinski, all of Bonnyville, AB.
He is predeceased by parents Moses and Matruna Kalinski, and brother Alexander Kalinski.
Paul was born at home in Iron River, Alberta, he was educated in rural one-room schoolhouses. He attended Vermilion Agricultural College (now Lakeland College, AB) and received his Red Seal Certification for Millwright in Quesnel.
Paul and Maxine were married in Lacombe, Alberta. They moved to Quesnel in 1978 where Paul was employed in a sawmill (CanFor) until retiring in 2003.
A Funeral Service will be held at Quesnel's Northstar Baptist Church on Friday, November 29th, 2019, at 1 pm, with refreshments to follow. Interment to take place in the Sandy Rapids Pentecostal Cemetery near Bonnyville, Alberta
The family is requesting no flowers at this time.
