The family of Ralph Ernest John Erixon sadly announce his passing at G.R. Baker Hospital on March 18, 2012 after a brief illness.

Ralph was born in Ratcliffe, Sask. on July 10, 1932 to Ernest and Clarice Erixon.

He married Doreen Peturson on Feb. 25, 1956 and had 3 sons. They lived in Surrey, B.C. where he took his apprenticeship in welding and was employed as a welder to heavy construction equipment. In 1966 the family moved to Trail, B.C. where he was employed by Cominco Ltd. In 1988 Ralph and Doreen moved to Quesnel to be near their sons and grandchildren.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and sitting around an evening campfire with family and friends and they knew that if they had questions regarding vehicles, RVs, guns and ammo or hunting and fishing he would always have or be able to get an answer for them.

Ralph is survived by his wife of 56 years; Doreen, children; Larry (Gwen), Randy (Lawana), Danny, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Ralph is predeceased by his parents. He will be sadly missed by all.

The family wishes to thank Dr. A. Erlank and Dr. Aziz as well as the wonderful ICU, 3rd floor and lab staff for their kindness, consideration, empathy and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Quesnel Palliative Care.

Memorial service will be held April 14, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs’ Witnesses at 621 Abbott Drive, Quesnel, B.C.
