We have lost our angel, Rella; God called her home, to suffer no more, on June 2, 2016 at 81 ½ years of age. Born in Dryden, ON on January 2, 1935, Rella is survived by her daughter and best friend forever, Sharon Campbell; favourite son-in-law Ed Cyr; granddaughter Becki (Brad) and her children Kurtis and Cherelle; granddaughter Edanna (Josh) and her children Danielle and Joshua (Lil Jed); son Daniel (Laura) and his daughters Jessy and Sarah (Mike) and her children Tyler and Liam in Vernon, BC; first husband and forever friend Jack Gould; special nieces and nephews Lesley-Rose, Lisa, Karen, Ora, Lyn, Debbie, Vi, and Lana from Ontario, and many other parts of the world. She was Gram to many, and had friends all over the world. Rella was predeceased by her mother Daisy; father Charles in 1973; 8 brothers; 5 sisters; grandson Kurtis E. Cyr in 1983; and 2nd husband (married in 1979) William Bailey, in 2005;

Rella graduated and began teaching school in Amesdale, Britton and Wabigoon, Ontario until Sharon was born in 1956 and Dan in 1958. She resided at Thunder Lake, ON, until 1963. When her children began school she moved into Dryden and worked at Johnson Electric and her sister Mabel’s florist shop until 1968 when Jack relocated the family to Prince George, BC. They stayed until 1970 and moved to Kamloops, BC, where Rella worked for Harold’s Restaurant, Phil’s Pancake House and later at K-Mart. Many years later she moved to Quesnel where she enjoyed mining for gold and working as a secretary for a logging company for two years. New grandchildren in her life took all her time in the 1980’s and 1990’s and Rella finally returned to Kamloops in 2003 to be with her daughter, son and granddaughters and families.

Thank you to Dr. Thomasse & Daphne, Interior Health Nurses who provided wonderful care to Mom. She really appreciated you all – the families of Our Angel, Rella Rose. Rella will be cremated and her remains will go to Dryden, Ontario and to Quesnel, BC.
