Remo Ivar Lepetich

Remo Ivar Lepetich passed away Sunday, November 13, 2005 in the G.R. Baker Memorial Hospital with his loving family by his side, after a courageous battle with blindness and Inclusion body Myositis.

Remo was born in Quesnel on April 20, 1931 to Peter and Ida Lepetich. The youngest of four boys who attended school at Narcosli Creek and Alexandria.

Remo married Audry Bayer in June of 1952 and together raised their three children, Egan, Cindy and Mike.

Remo was a mill operator, contractor and rancher. He was proud of his land clearing ability and cleared land for many farmers and ranchers including himself. He and his family established two ranches in his lifetime.

Remo was predeceased by his parents Peter and Ida Lepetich and nephew Tommy Bayer. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Audry, daughter Cindy (James), sons Egan (Janina) and Mike (Sandra), grandchildren Shaun, Franklin, Phillip, Tyler (Julie) and Samantha, brothers Mark, Lloyd and Bruce (Deenie), brother-in-law Tom (Eilene), sister-in-law Marie (Ron), numerous nephews and nieces and long-time friend Peter Couldwell.

The family would like to express a special thank yo to Dr. LeRoux, Dr. Aziz, nursing staff of G.R. Baker Hospital, especially Crystal and Kathy and everyone who was helping in caring for Remo in his last few days. Special thanks to home nursing and home support workers, Merle, Holly, Wendy, Kathleen and Gisele, you always brightened Remo’s day. Peter, Maria, Donelda, Mike and Delmer for being there. All the family and friends who have visited and spent time with Remo over the last six difficult years and have been here for these last sad weeks, thank you. Peter Couldwell, thank you for the eulogy. Remo was a good husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend and neighbor.
