We regretfully announce the passing of Richard Earl Williamson on November 17, 2010.

Richard Earl Williamson (Earl to everyone who knew him) was born in Lethbridge Alberta on March 12, 1920. He was raised and schooled in the Badger Lake area just north of Lethbridge. He enlisted at the age of 21 and returned home from overseas in early 1946. He married Hazel McKay later that year and raised four boys which grew to 11 grandchildren and presently 12 great grandchildren. In 1964, after 17 years of working a farm in Bow City, he moved his family to Quesnel. Here he held a number of jobs and retired from Carmar Industrial Supply in 1984. Since retirement he did a little traveling, gardening, fishing, volunteering at the Legion, and just plain enjoyed life, his family and friends to the fullest he could.

A Celebration of Life will be held on December 18, 2010 1:00PM at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall with a tea to follow.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diabetes Foundation, Kidney Association, Royal Canadian Legion Poppy fund or a local charity of your choice.
