Bob was born in Calgary, Alberta on May 25, 1943 and passed away April 6, 2025. He lived in Masset, BC before moving to Dog Creek Airport in 1945 where he enjoyed his formative years. Bob's first job was as a farm worker at Circle S in Dog Creek. Around 1961 Bob moved into Williams Lake and worked at various jobs including highways and as a mechanic before moving to Quesnel in 1964. Here, he met his wife Dianne Coldwell. Bob and Dianne married in 1967 and their first child Laurel was born in 1968, followed by Leah in 1970.

Around 2007 Bob and Dianne parted ways and in 2011 Bob met his soul mate Catherine Hollinsky and together they enjoyed a loving relationship from that day on.

After retiring from mechanics, Bob would drive tourists from the Rocky Mountaineer Train to the hotel and back and drove a bus to Nazko weekly. Bob was very active with Knights of Columbus and enjoyed assisting in any way. He also helped out with the Quesnel Tractor Museum and enjoyed camping and traveling around BC and Alberta.

Bob was predeceased by his partner Catherine Hollinsky, his parents, Albert and Velma and nephew Russell Twan.

He is survived by his daughters Laurel Becker Fader and Leah Dumaine, his grandsons Tyler (Ayla) Kelly and Jesse Kelly, his granddaughters Amanda (Evan) Tuck, Carmen and Danielle, and his great grandchildren Brynnley, Rosaleigh, Kingsley, Lily, Callie, Zoey, Cassandra Gadoury, Eve and Ella, as well as his sister Beatrice (Grant) Brandson.
