In Loving Memory ~
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Bob (Robert) Smith.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Cynthia, his son Lucas (Moe), grandchildren Nadia and Bishop, his brother Rod (Angie), stepson Cameron (Carmina), grandchildren Avery and Myla, stepdaughter Krysta (Stuart) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters Linda and Wendy.
Bob was originally from a farm near Parkbeg, Saskatchewan; he moved west in his early 20's and settled in Quesnel, BC where he resided for the next 30 years. During this time, Bob's son Lucas was born. On meeting his second wife Cynthia, Bob moved to Williams Lake where they resided happily for the last 15 years.
Bob retired in 2019 and could alway be found puttering around his home designing and creating projects using his special talent of creating something beautiful out of nothing. He loved gardening, cooking, woodworking, woodcarving, birdwatching and training his little dog Murdock.
Bob was an amazing artist, had a wealth of knowledge he shared with those around him and had an endless drive for learning, though would never admit any of these to anyone.
Bob especially loved spending time with his four grandchildren, they were all incredibly close to him and could never have enough Grandpa time. Bob touched and improved the lives of everyone who knew him in a unique way. He was kind, gentle, caring and loved jokes of all kinds.
Bob was a protector, an incredible grandparent, and the best father anyone could have ever had. His family is devastated by his loss and he will be greatly missed.
The family will be holding a Celebration of Life at 1:30pm July 23 at 1493 Christys Road, Quesnel BC. Please come have a drink and share stories of Bob with his friends and family. Bring a lawn chair.
