Robert Allan Willson #21, was born on November 27, 1953 and passed away on April 11, 2007.
Robert was lovingly known as “Bob” by his friends and “Slider” by his opponents at the race track.
Bob’s involvement in the community was intense. He was a firefighter, scout leader and very involved with the Quesnel Racing Association. He was always willing to lend a hand where needed.
Bob leaves behind his wife Anna, daughter Stacey, son Lancelot, stepson Joe, stepdaughter Shelby and grandchildren Tyler, Megan, Katie and Julia.
Bob is survived by his mother Darlene and stepfather Paul Komonoski. He will be sadly missed by his sisters Linda, Frankie, Shelley, brothers Jim, Spike, Don and step siblings Pauline, Kurt and Ellwood, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Bob would best like to be remembered as the Crash to Pass crowd pleaser.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 14 at 4:00 pm at the Northstar Church, with Norm Botterill officiating.
The Fire Department fund raiser for Bob will continue as planned at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 14 as a celebration of life/farewell to Bob.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the new Quesnel Hospital Chemo Unit would be appreciated.
