Passed away peacefully on Nov. 27 at Dunrovin Lodge.
His formative years were spent on the farm in Saskatchewan.
At a young age he set out on his own working at various jobs thru-out Western Canada. Eventually making his way to Nanaimo where he met and married Frances Parkin. In
Nanaimo they started their family. A son Larry born in Nanaimo and a daughter Louise born in Wilkie, Saskatchewan. He hired on to the C.P.R., working out of Red Deer and raised his family in the area. After 12 years with the Rail Road he started doing autobody work in Red Deer. In 1967, the family moves to Quesnel where he worked various jobs until he opened his own business "Bobs Repair", that he operated until his retirement.
He was an avid fisherman and also had many other interests, stock car racing, square dancing, snow biling, fly fishing and tieing, sled dog mail run, skiing to name a few.
He enjoyed being involved with family activities, especially multiple activities involving his grandchildren.
Bob was predeceased by Frances, his wife of 55 years and his brother Jim in Saskatchewan.
He is survived by his son Larry/Judy Tailor - their children Josh, Andrea and Suzanne, great grandchildren: Anna, Roman, Hazel, Macy, Ivy, Josie, Charlie and Frances. Daughter Louise and Herb Felrer and their children: Carly, Loni and Mandy, and great granddaughters Dakota, Taylor and Paige.
Also survived by his friend and almost constant companion, for the last several years, Lilliane Balsdon with whom he shared many trips and various adventures.
Celebration of Life to be held on Dec. 7 from 4-6 in the Common Room at Fraser Village, Building 451 Front St.
In lieu of flowers, the family appreciate any donations to the SPCA.
