Rodney Emmet Cody

Rod was born in St. Rose du Lac, Manitoba on July 25, 1946 and passed away suddenly making for a sad Christmas.

In November of 1951 he moved to the Quesnel area with his family. Rod attended Alexandria Elementary School and graduated from Quesnel Secondary School in 1964.

Rod worked as a boilermaker for 35 years and retired in 2000. As a boilermaker he made many friends and he was well respected for his abilities. Rod loved to get on a horse and go on a hunting or pack trip in the hinterlands of B.C.

He loved to help his family, friends and those in need.

His granddaughters gave him great joy.

Rod was predeceased by his mother, Irma and his sister, Patricia. He is survived by his father, Elmer, sisters; Roxienne (Joel) Prestone, Charlene (Dennis) Lyall and his brothers Terry (Penny), Bryan (Beatrice), Rick (Maureen), stepchildren Lawrence Cody, Tammy Zirk and granddaughters Brittany and Tiffany Zirk, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
