Rose Veronica Tompkins 94, passed away in Victoria, BC on Tuesday, November 28th, 2017.
A memorial service will be held at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Centre, 887 Keefer St., Vancouver BC on Wednesday, December 20th at 2 PM.
Rose was born in London, Ontario to Russell and Rose Myers on September 20th, 1923. She married Dr. Jarvis Tompkins and together they lived and raised their children in Quesnel BC. They moved to Vancouver in the 1980's and later to Duncan.
Rose was very creative woman who appreciated art, literature and music and enjoyed pottery, painting, gardening and bird watching.
Rose is predeceased by her husband Jarvis, her daughters Joanne and Catherine (Katy) as well as her great-granddaughter Autumn.
She is survived by her daughters Laura and Diane, her son Eric, her grandchildren Christopher, Vanessa, Vharay, Thomas, Daniel, Brianne, Amira and Layla, and her great-grandchildren Eric, Anna, Quinn, Maddoch, Talia and Tia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Glenora Farm http://www.glenorafarm.org/ or a charity of your choice.
She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
