Ross McKenzie Robinson

Ross was born April 10, 1930 in Bethany MB. and moved to Scandinavia, MB at a very early age. There were five boys and three sisters. He felt blessed with a wonderful mom and dad, having love and attention from both parents.

Ross attended Bethany high school, then went to work for the Department of Mines and Resources in Clear Lake, MB. A place of golfing, fishing, roller skating and curling, which he loved. There he and his crew built the Bowling Greens, worked on the Wishing Well, Golf course, Lakeside Ward and so on.

After Wasagaming National Park,Ross worked in Winnipeg for the McDonald Aircraft building pontoons for Beaver Aircraft. A very technical type of job that he really enjoyed.

Then it was off to Quesnel, British Columbia, where he spent the rest of his life, working at various employment. He ran heavy equipment, had a janitorial cleaning business, then retired as a carpenter.

Ross is survived by his first wife Gloria and three children Gini, Carl and Susan, his present wife Bessie Robinson and stepchildren; Andy, David and Mark. Also numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. His siblings Thelma Hince and Carl Robinson from Manitoba are still with us.

He is predeceased by mom Burnette and dad Joseph, siblings; Colin, Frank, Sadie, Ivan, Jean and stepdaughter Wendy.

Ross’s wish was to be placed with his Mom and Dad.

A service will be held at the Neepawa, Manitoba Cemetery Gravesite on June 01, 2014, officiated by Rev. Ed Loucks of the United Church. A Celebration of Life will follow at a community hall in Minnedosa, MB.

Dearest Ross

I loved you in the morning

And loved you in the night.

I loved you when you were wrong

As much as when you were right.

I loved you when you were up

And even when you were down.

I loved you when you smiled

And felt badly when you frowned.

I loved those wonderful ways

You showed me that you cared.

I loved the safe feeling

Of knowing you were there.

You could always make me smile

With the things you said and did.

And that smile was made with love,

The love I feel for you!

Sincerely, Bessie
