Roy was born in Vernon to Ella and Benjamin McMillan on June 9, 1942. The family moved to the Quesnel area when Roy was four and settled in Alexandria for his youth. When he started to work he went into the logging industry. He worked all over BC settling in 100 Mile House in the early 70's and remained there until his death.
He is survived by four brothers, Dougal (Dora), Quesnel, Murray, Williams Lake, Danny Freel (Diana) Quesnel, Arnold, Lac La Hache. Two sisters, Madelane Smith, Quesnel, Frances Grey, Langley and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial tea will be at a later date.
