Sheila June Hill

Sheila June Hill of Quesnel, BC passed away on February 9th 2007. Sheila was born June 12th 1924 in Calgary, Alberta. Sheila met Bruce Hill while serving in the Canadian army, and was married to him on October 8th 1945 at St. Matthew’s church in Quebec City, eventually moving out west in 1955. They resided in Quesnel the last 32 years on their property on the banks of the Fraser.

Sheila is survived by her husband Bruce, brother Robin Gascoigne, daughter Heather Hartridge, and grandchildren Michael, Dustin, and Megan.

Sheila loved living on her property on Longbar, and enjoyed all things in nature.

Her interests included antiques, gardening and making teddy bears. Sheila was also the curator of the local museum for many years.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Maple House for providing a loving, caring home for Sheila for the last two years of her life.

The family will be holding a Celebration of Life for Sheila Sat. March 10th, from 1pm-3pm at the Legion Hall in Quesnel.
